DICE heeft nog maar net zijn laatste patch voor Battlefield: Bad Company 2 online gezet, of de volgende staat alweer in de startblokken. Op de officiële twitter staat namelijk dat de R8 Client en R12 Servers voor PC volgende week uitgebracht zullen worden. Treur niet, ook de consoles krijgen patches. changelog

CoD4 Community News

It seems 2010 will be the year the cod4 community itself will have to stand up and do some things themselves. This time the benelux cod4 community has the chance - and to be fair, the obligation - to get cod4 as one of the games played in the ESL Pro Series (EPS).

The cod4 benelux admins over at ESL are asking the communities' help to get COD4 in the EPS by getting more active on ESL. They have announced the start of the cod4 EAS benelux and the King of the Hill format. If these formats see enough activity, cod4 might be taken into account when chosing the next games for EPS season IV !!

So what's EPS, EAS and KoTH ?

 


As many of you know, the EPS is one of the most famous and professional competitions around. It's hosted by ESL owned by the company Turtle Entertainment. Every EPS season is ran very professional and at the end lan finals are held. A lot of money is put into these EPS seasons and the winners walk away with several hundreds, sometimes thousands of euros. 

 

The ESL Amateur Series ladder is the predecessor of the ESL Pro Series. This ladder will be open for all Benelux teams to join in which they can compete each other whenever they want, next to a weekly mandatory match! NOTE: When the ESL Pro Series go live, these Amateur Series will be used to determine who qualifies!

The King of the Hill sponsored by clanhost.nl is a cup that will be played once every two weeks. It's a common nightcup in many ways with a little twist. Each week, the winner of the cup will play against the king. If they manage to beat the king they will become the new king. The team which is the king gets a free Call of Duty 4 ESL-ready private server for as long as they manage to stay king.
